Julie Lystad

Intake Director

Julie Lystad is the Intake Director in Varghese Summersett’s Family Law Division, where she is the first point of contact for prospective clients.  Prior to serving as intake director, she spent 10 years as a family law paralegal, which positioned her perfectly for her current role overseeing every potential new case that comes in.

Much of Julie’s day is spent speaking with potential clients who are going through a divorce, child custody dispute, or similar emotionally-charged family law matter. She listens to their story, explains the process, and helps them decide if Varghese Summersett is the right fit for them and their family.

She understands that hiring an attorney for a family law matter is a very personal decision. Patient, compassionate, empathetic, and knowledgeable, Julie takes time to get to know potential clients and helps them navigate the process and move toward new beginnings.

She is a member of the Fort Worth Paralegal Association and the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association.

Background

Julie grew up in Fort Worth, where she and her husband, Ryan, currently reside with their children, Kale and Kora. She is also deeply devoted to her three cats, Reznor Lystad, Sassy Catlor Swift, and Willow.

Fun Fact: As you might have guessed from that last bit, Julie is a huge Taylor Swift fan.
